EDUCATION, ORGANIZING AND YOUTH

INTRODUCTION

The Department of education, organizing and youth was started with the aim of improving and retaining the skills, knowledge, tools, equipment and other resources needed to conduct the union's activities. This Department coordinates all activities in the Union. It also coordinate and promote open youth-to-youth communication, enhance leadership development among young workers and empowering youth to conduct organizing campaigns in their workplaces.

Activities

The activities carried out by the department are;

1. Preparing training tools such as manuals, leaflets, brochures and the like.

2. Coordinating union's education projects

3. Coordinating all education activities in the union.

4. Running seminars and workshops for various target groups

5. Coordinating education exchange programmes with Global Unions

6. Providing trade union education to different target groups

7. Publisizing union activities in various media.

8. Coordinating union youth-related progrrammes.

9. Organizing & Recruiting workers to become TUICO members.
